History
Triad Auto Specialty, Inc. began as a service to Honda owners in August of 1978. The original name of the company was Triad Honda Shop, Inc. Grant Swaim founded this Honda service and repair business on Mary street in Greensboro. By 1983, American Honda requested that all repair shops cease using the Honda name unless they were a Honda dealer; therefore our name evolved to Triad Auto Specialty, Inc.

In 1986 we built on West Wendover. At this point, the Acura was introduced by Honda, and with much enthusiasm we extended our service to these vehicles.

In 1994, the business was sold to two employees with sixteen years of service to the company: Terry Wagner and Ray Elliott. Fortunately, Terry and Ray were able to continue the Triad Auto tradition with the same experienced technicians.

Under this new ownership Triad Auto Specialty, Inc. made their last two moves to Boeing, and lastly into their own building located at 7208 Cessna Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409.

We have grown to 10 employees and feel we have been greatly blessed.

TRIAD AUTO is one of the largest "INDEPENDENT" garages serving only Honda and Acura automobile owners since 1978. We are not associated with, endorsed, sponsored or licensed by American Honda and do not wish to create such a false impression. We have worked extremely hard to create our own image and atmosphere. We do not sell cars, although our customers tell us we are the main reason they buy the Honda and Acura product. We do sell parts and use Genuine Parts, but are not allowed to use the "H" word. Our service is for quality driven people and our customers realize the importance of technicians that are trained on the product they work on. TRIAD AUTO has been the training grounds for classes attended by INDEPENDENT garage owners and dealership technicians alike. We have hosted one of the largest training schools with attendees from across America competing for the number one honors. We are honored to do service and repairs on these high quality automobiles and hope you will come to enjoy the experience.
